When our founder, Hein de Waal, found himself grounded as an airline pilot during the COVID-19 pandemic, he used that time to learn web development and create a platform called Jika Market. It was a marketplace that empowered local vendors to sell their produce online during lockdown.

It was during this journey that Hein crossed paths with the talented leather craftsman, Patrick. Together, they saw an opportunity to create something special - flight bags. The idea took off, and they began selling these exquisite bags on Jika Market. The response was overwhelming, and their business quickly outgrew the marketplace.

Driven by their commitment to excellence, Hein embarked on coding their own fully featured website and online shop with international shipping capabilities. Thus, VNAV Leather was born - a dedicated platform to showcase their finest quality handmade leather flight bags and an array of other bags.
